2022 Osborn

As usual, our time at the US36 Raceway in Osborn was lots of fun. Craig, Renee and Milt Schreindl arrived on Friday to enjoy the circle dirt track racing. They put on a great show there. (The dirt track racers… not the Schreindl’s)

Everyone else trickled in Saturday afternoon – Doug and Alicia Henderson, Craig and Richard Pfohl, Paul and Justin Eikel (along with most of their extended family! BTW… congrats to Justin on his engagement!), Jimmy Brandon & Sherry Bizzle, John Grinwald, Chris & Janie Heuton and Dan & Sandy Janke.

John and Renee got everything organized with the tower and held a driver’s meeting at about 6PM. Our first run was scheduled for 8 and we would be running every hour after that.

Around 7PM we started watching some spotty showers in the area. Sprinkles were very light and bracket racing continued, however we all either covered or trailered our cars temporarily. By 8:00 bracket racing was paused as the rain intensified. Then by 8:15 the rain elevated to downpour status and the race was canceled.

Everyone spent the night, and of course, the second best part about racing with NSS ensued – fun with friends and family. Many were looking forward to racing at Great Lakes next weekend.
